NEW FOR 2010: - Base JA trim line discontinued - Standard auxiliary audio input jack on all models (replaces six-CD changer on JLX) - Garage door opener deleted from JLX models - Exterior colours: Charcoal Grey Metallic and Volcanic Red Metallic added For 2010, the Suzuki Grand Vitara’s based JA trim line is discontinued; as that model offered a manual transmission, this means all Grand Vitara models are automatic-equipped only. A standard auxiliary audio input is added to all models, and on the JLX, it replaces the six-CD changer. Production after October 2009 deletes the Homelink garage door opener on JLX models. The Grand Vitara comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.4-litre four-cylinder with four-speed automatic transmission, and 3.2-litre V6 with five-speed automatic. All models are four-wheel drive and can be locked into 4High or 4Low for off-road driving, along with a neutral setting that allows it to be flat-towed. The four-cylinder comes as the JX, JLX and JLX-L, while the V6 comes in JLX and JLX-L trim. Features on the JX include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, keyless entry and start, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, cruise control, driver’s auto-down window, automatic headlamps, hard spare tire case, heated mirrors, privacy glass, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, roof rails, outside temperature gauge, vehicle information centre, cargo cover, floor mats, front map lights, cloth seats, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding second-row seats, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, and engine block heater. The JLX adds subwoofer, power sunroof, fog lamps, puddle lamps, and heated cloth seats. The JLX-V6 adds 18-inch alloy wheels, hill descent control, and hill start assist. Both JLX-L models add heated leather seats.
